Frequently asked questions
The short version of how Ball Street works.
The basics
What is Ball Street?
Ball Street is a sports stock market for NBA players. You buy and sell shares in players you believe in using Ball Street Bucks (BSB), our in-app currency. When a player’s value rises, so does your position. It’s a way to put your basketball takes on the record — and prove you were early.
Is this real money? Can I lose my savings?
No. You play with Ball Street Bucks, not dollars. You can deposit real money to get more BSB, but BSB stays inside Ball Street — it’s not a brokerage account and shares aren’t securities. Think of it as a game economy, not an investment account.
What does “proof of belief” mean?
Every share you buy is timestamped. That record proves you backed a player at a specific moment — before the breakout, before the hype. Proof of belief is the whole point: it’s receipts for your basketball IQ.
Ball Street Bucks (BSB)
What are Ball Street Bucks?
BSB (฿) is the currency you use to buy and sell shares. You start with a welcome balance, and you can deposit real money to get more.
Can I cash out my BSB for real money?
No. Ball Street is a closed-loop economy — money goes in, but BSB doesn’t convert back to cash. The one exception is winning an Arena contest, where prizes are paid in real money. Everything else stays in BSB.
Earning Ball Street Bucks
How do I earn free BSB?
Besides depositing, you can earn free BSB just by playing. Open Ball Street each day to claim a daily reward, and log in seven days in a row to land a bigger streak bonus on the 7th day. Tap the reward chest in the top bar to claim. More ways to earn — sharing certificates and inviting friends — are on the way.
Do I get the daily reward AND the streak bonus on day 7?
No — on the 7th day of a streak you get the streak bonus instead of the daily amount, not on top of it. Every other day pays the daily reward. Miss a day and your streak resets to one.
Does earned BSB expire?
Free BSB you earn from rewards expires 60 days after you receive it, so spend it on players you believe in. BSB you deposit with real money never expires.
Trading
How do I buy and sell shares?
Open any player on the Market and use the buy panel to purchase shares at the current price. To sell, you “liquidate” — selling shares back to the system at the current price. You can sell some or all of a position.
Who am I trading against?
Always the system — never another user. Ball Street is the counterparty for every buy and sell, so there’s no peer-to-peer market and no waiting for someone to take the other side. The price you see is the price you get.
Pricing
How are player prices set?
Prices are driven entirely by Adjusted Real Impact (A.R.I.) — a rules-based model built on verified on-court performance, with no human discretion. Nobody at Ball Street can nudge a player’s price. For the full details, see the A.R.I. disclosure.
Certificates
What is a Proof of Belief certificate?
A certificate is the collectible proof of a position you hold. It captures the player and the moment you backed them, and it can be shared and verified publicly. Down the line, certificates also unlock the ability to order a physical collectible card.
